DEH-P3800MP
Price$199
Now hear this: the DEH-P3800MP single-CD player also plays MP3 and WMA, and it's ready for Satellite Radio — XM or Sirius, your choice. You also get 50 watts of clean MOSFET power and a card-type remote control.
MP3 and WMA Playback
Don't let your favorite music downloads languish on your computer hard drive. Burn them to a CD-R or CD-RW and play them on the DEH-P3800MP. Each disc you burn has the capacity to hold up to ten complete albums of MP3 music and twenty for WMA discs. Trust us, that's a lot of music. And since these CDs hold so much data, you'll be happy to know that Pioneer MP3 headunits also include a random play mode. You'll also be pleasantly surprised to find that our players support ID3 Tags and WMA text, which display artist, title, track and album information, just like your computer. Best of all, Pioneer's Digital Speedread2 CD mechanism provides incredibly fast performance.
MOSFET 50 High Power
Are you power-hungry? The DEH-P3800MP delivers a full 50 watts x 4 channels. And it's not just 50 watts; this is MOSFET 50. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. Remember: more power doesn't only mean “louder”. It also means that your music will be cleaner at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. For clean, efficient power that will rock your vehicle, you found the right CD Receiver.
Card Remote Included
The DEH-P3800MP comes with a card remote, allowing you to control key functions without taking your eyes off the road. It fits easily in your hand, and it's small enough to stash in your console when not in use.
BMX (Bit Media eXpander) Digital Enhancement
Compressed file formats such as MP3 and WMA are now as common as the Internet. But there are people who feel that compressed music sounds thin, flat and short of depth. To correct this common problem, Pioneer developed BMX technology. BMX studies what's left of the delicate sound frequencies that are usually ignored and makes the necessary adjustments. This improves the shape and overall depth of sound, which results in enjoyment to the ears, especially in the noisy car environment.
16-Character Display
To take advantage of new media like MP3, WMA, iPod, XM Radio, and Sirius, the DEH-P3800MP features a new 16-character display - twice as large as previous models. This makes it easy to see the song title, artist and other text. Just press the Display button to cycle between the available choices.
Satellite Radio Ready? Ready.
Satellite Radio. It's digital, high-quality programming beamed from satellites. And the signal that doesn't fade, no matter where you drive. It offers commercial-free music of nearly every genre, plus talk, news, sports, weather, and more. There are two companies that offer this great product — XM Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio — and the DEH-P3800MP is compatible with both of these subscription-based services. So you choose. You'll just need a Pioneer digital satellite tuner to match the satellite service you select.
iPod Adapter Ready!
Attention current and future iPod owners: this deck can be your gateway to taking your iPod music collection on the road! The Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod Adapter is now available to add to your Pioneer headunit. Once you connect this adapter, you can control your iPod through the headunit and even view album, artist, and other music info on its display. The Pioneer iPod adapter powers your iPod and even re-charges its internal battery. Just think: now you can play all of your iPod tunes via a powerful Pioneer mobile audio system!
(Note: the DEH-P3800MP controls the iPod Adapter as an Unexpected unit, with some limitations in display and operation. Consult the owner's manuals for more details.)
